I will make a Mission Faith Promise Commitment...To GIVE
Grace EFC has had a significant mission outreach since 1974. This will continue to grow as we think of ourselves as a missionary church. Being a missionary church is expressed by sending more laborers into the Harvest; having a heart to pray for those workers and the people they bring the Gospel to; plus an increasing sacrificial commitment to Faith Promise giving.
What is Faith Promise Giving?
• A promise I make to God for financial support of His Kingdom work. It is over and above my tithe, which supports my local church. It gives
me the opportunity to stretch my faith by trusting God to provide what He wants me to give.
• It expresses my desire that the whole world hears the Good News about Jesus.
• This is a promise to God, not a pledge to the church. No one will notify me or keep track of my progress toward my commitment. However,
it is a way to give strategically to worldwide Missions, rather than sporadically.
• A commitment is made for one year at a time. Each year a new promise is made.
How will God provide?
• God may increase your income. Psalm 67:7 says, “God will bless us, and all the earth will fear Him.” Remember, God blesses us, so that
we can bless others.
• God may decrease your expenses. Perhaps He will show us luxuries or unnecessary items in our budget that we can eliminate. Perhaps
He will help us to better manage the resources He has provided.
• God may lead you to sacrificial giving. What would we be willing to do without so that the Gospel can go forth? It might be a hard choice
or a creative idea. Sacrifice is a biblical concept that is linked to praising God and increased joy. 2 Corinthians 8:2-3
• God may surprise us with unexpected income.
• God may increase our faith. As we look to God to supply all our needs, we will be freed to give faithfully and generously. 2 Corinthians 9:6-15
How and When can I make a Faith Promise to Missions Giving?
• Pray and ask the Lord to show you the amount to commit.
• Pray
